To develop model interventions and engage public, civil society, and policymakers to drive actions to end leprosy and rebuild lives.
Let Us come together for people affected by Leprosy!
Every single involvement brings us closer to a leprosy-free India where no one is left behind.
A leprosy-free India is possible, where every person affected lives with dignity, inclusion, and the opportunity to rebuild their life.
GoodBye Leprosy (GBL), is an alliance of civil society organizations committed to leprosy control / elimination in India and supporting those affected by the disease.
Our work focuses on leprosy management and care through early detection, treatment support, disability prevention, ulcer care, and training for healthcare professionals and community workers. We support rehabilitation by promoting livelihoods, education, mental wellbeing, and emergency assistance. We foster inclusion by ensuring access to entitled benefits and government schemes, participation in public / community events, conducting public awareness campaigns to reduce stigma, and empowering grassroots organizations for advocacy and support. We also work on policy dialogue to improve leprosy programmes and influence meaningful change at the state and national levels.
By participating in this marathon campaign, we aim to raise awareness about leprosy, inspire more people to become advocates for inclusion, and mobilize resources to expand our outreach and support services to underserved communities.
Every contribution helps us reach underserved communities, to provide timely care, support treatment adherence, provide assistive devices, strengthen livelihoods, and create opportunities for education and social inclusion.
Leprosy is curable, but timely treatment matters. Every delayed treatment is a preventable tragedy. Early detection prevents disability and rebuilds lives.
Join us in building a leprosy-free India where every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity, hope, and opportunity. Together, we can restore dignity, rebuild lives, and create a future where no one is left behind.
